Section 20. Requirements for driver training school

13 AAC 25.020. Requirements for driver training school

To qualify to operate a driver training school, each person must meet the following requirements, and pay the fee required by AS 28.17.031 (b):

(1) be of good moral character;

(2) be 21 years of age or older;

(3) maintain an established place of business open to the public, which meets the requirements of 13 AAC 25.090 and of which he is the owner;

(4) have the equipment necessary to give proper instruction in the operation of a motor vehicle, which meets the requirements of 13 AAC 25.070(1) and 13 AAC 25.080;

(5) have insurance in the amount specified in 13 AAC 25.070(2) ;

(6) provide a course of instruction which meets the minimum requirements of 13 AAC 25.070(5) ;

(7) have an established written schedule of fees, charges and refund policy;

(8) have a valid Alaska business license and driver training school license;

(9) have at least one licensed instructor, who may also be the licensed operator of the school.
