Section 10. License required

13 AAC 25.010. License required

(a) An original application for a license under 13 AAC 25.010 - 13 AAC 25.190 shall be mailed to the commissioner together with two sets of the fingerprints of each signatory to the application. The fingerprints shall be on standard FBI applicant fingerprint cards, and the information required by the card shall be completed. The application shall contain the information required by the commissioner.

(b) The commissioner will issue a license to each applicant who satisfactorily meets the requirements of 13 AAC 25.010 - 13 AAC 25.190. The school license shall be conspicuously displayed in the public office of the licensee. An instructor's license shall be carried by the licensee while he is engaged in driving instruction. The licenses shall be exhibited upon demand of a police officer, and if requested by the officer, shall be manually surrendered to the officer for inspection.

(c) A licensee, to obtain renewal of his license, shall mail a completed application for renewal, together with the required fee, to the Department of Public Safety, P.O. Box N, Juneau, Alaska, at least 30 days prior to the expiration of his license. The commissioner will issue a new license upon a determination that the licensee is entitled to it under provisions of law, and may require additional information from the licensee prior to issuance of a new license.

(d) In case of the loss, mutilation or destruction of a license, the commissioner shall issue a duplicate of it upon proof of the facts and payment of a fee of $1.
