Section 160. Duties of the hearing authority

7 AAC 49.160. Duties of the hearing authority

The hearing authority shall hold the hearing and receive any testimony, evidence, and material introduced at the hearing. The hearing authority shall render a decision based on the applicable laws, regulations, and policies, and on the hearing record, and shall furnish the client with a written decision. The decision must state the reason for that decision, the evidence and the laws or regulations supporting the decision, and a statement of the client's right to appeal that decision.
