2 AAC 80.080. Recovery from a collateral source

(a) Awards for losses and expenses will be made by the board only in the absence of prior compensation from any source to the claimant, including payment from the General Relief Medical programs of the State of Alaska authorized by AS 47.25.120 - 47.25.300.

(b) If additional recovery is received by the claimant after compensation is awarded, it is the responsibility of the claimant to advise the board of the amount, source, and nature of the additional recovery. The board will notify the claimant if the additional recovery results in the claimant owing a repayment of the compensation awarded or any portion of it. This notification will be sent to the claimant by registered mail, within 20 days after the board's receipt of notice that additional money has been received by the claimant.
