Section 690. Integrated fishery resource permit

20 AAC 05.690. Integrated fishery resource permit

(a) The commission will issue a single, nonseverable, integrated fishery resource permit to an applicant who qualifies for a use privilege in both the Southeastern Alaska Tanner crab and Southeastern Alaska red and blue king crab pot fisheries. This permit will grant the permit holder the privilege of harvesting red and blue king crab and Tanner crab with pot gear in Southeastern Alaska in accordance with regulations of the Alaska Board of Fisheries.

(b) The commission will issue a single, nonseverable, integrated fishery resource permit to an applicant who qualifies for a use privilege in both the Southeastern Alaska Tanner crab and Southeastern Alaska brown king crab pot fisheries. This permit will grant the permit holder the privilege of harvesting brown king crab and Tanner crab with pot gear in Southeastern Alaska in accordance with regulations of the Alaska Board of Fisheries.

(c) The commission will issue a single, nonseverable, integrated fishery resource permit to an applicant who qualifies for a use privilege in both the Southeastern Alaska brown king crab and Southeastern Alaska red and blue king crab pot fisheries. This permit will grant the permit holder the privilege of harvesting red and blue king crab and brown king crab with pot gear in Southeastern Alaska in accordance with regulations of the Alaska Board of Fisheries.

(d) The commission will issue a single, nonseverable, integrated fishery resource permit to an applicant who qualifies for use privileges in the Southeastern Alaska Tanner crab and Southeastern Alaska red and blue king crab, and Southeastern Alaska brown king crab pot fisheries. This permit will grant the permit holder the privilege of harvesting red and blue king crab, brown king crab, and Tanner crab with pot gear in Southeastern Alaska in accordance with regulations of the Alaska Board of Fisheries.

(e) Repealed 10/31/2001.

(f) The holder of an entry permit issued under this section may acquire by transfer an additional entry permit issued under this section if the additional entry permit acquired conveys to the transferee at least one use privilege for a crab species not held by the transferee at the time of the transfer.

(g) A use privilege issued under the minor economic hardship provisions of AS 16.43.250 (c) that is part of a nonseverable integrated fishery resource permit is extinguished when the permit is permanently transferred by the holder.

(h) A use privilege issued as part of a nonseverable integrated fishery resource permit or application for a use privilege may be severed by the written request of the holder or applicant for the purpose of relinquishing the use privilege or the application for a use privilege.
