Section 540. Priority classification of applicants

20 AAC 05.540. Priority classification of applicants

(a) The commission will assign each applicant to a priority classification according to the classification system established for that fishery.

(b) If the applicant is assigned to a priority classification designated as involving significant economic hardship as provided in AS 16.43.250 (b), the commission will either issue the entry permit or send a notice to the applicant indicating that he will receive an entry permit.

(c) If the applicant is assigned to a priority classification not designated in AS 16.43.250 (b), the commission will send a notice of classification to the applicant setting forth the commission's findings of fact with respect to the applicant and the date on or before which a request for a hearing must be received if the applicant disagrees with the commission's determination of his priority classification.
