20 AAC 05.200. Fishery identification system

(a) For the purpose of issuing interim-use permits and entry permits, administering the collection of annual fees, and other purposes required for the administration of AS 16.43, a fishery identification system is established.

(b) Each fishery is identified by a code of letters and numbers. The first group of characters identifies the fishery resource. The second group of characters identifies the type of gear or the type of gear and any applicable restrictions. The final group of characters identifies the administrative area as defined in 20 AAC 05.230.
