18 AAC 74.450. Classification of small, untreated or small, treated water systems

Except as provided in 18 AAC 74.006, the department will classify a Class A public water system with fewer than 100 service connections that is used or intended for use by fewer than 500 individuals per day, and a Class B public water system that uses a surface water or groundwater under the direct influence of surface water source, as follows:

(1) a water system that does not add chemicals to the water will be classified as a small, untreated water system;

(2) a water system that adds chemicals to the water will be classified as a small, treated water system.
