Section 110. Public interest waiver

7 AAC 80.110. Public interest waiver

(a) The department will, in its discretion, waive a fee for a social service if the commissioner determines that collecting the fee interferes with the departmental purpose of providing services to protect children and to rehabilitate or reunite families.

(b) No child who has been placed in the legal custody of the department will be denied available and necessary social services because of the family's inability to pay for those services.
