7 AAC 45.515. Supplemental security income child cases

(a) If a child receives SSI benefits, the department will allow the caretaker relative to either exclude that child from the assistance unit or include that child in the assistance unit, and, except as specified in (b) of this section, shall disregard the income and resources of that child in the eligibility determination and benefit calculation for the assistance unit.

(b) If the caretaker relative elects to include the SSI child in the assistance unit, the department will consider the income of the SSI child to be an amount equal to the need-standard increment for an additional child as specified in 7 AAC 45.520(a) (1).
