7 AAC 43.005. Scope

(a) The department will pay for medical services rendered to Medicaid recipients under this chapter.

(b) Payment for the following medical services and supplies under the Medicaid program is available within the limitations set out in this chapter for each category of medical service:

(1) hospital - inpatient and outpatient;

(2) skilled nursing facility (SNF);

(3) intermediate care facility (ICF);

(4) intermediate care facility for mentally retarded persons and persons with related conditions (ICF/MR);

(5) laboratory and X-ray;

(6) physician;

(7) visual care, dispensing, and ophthalmic materials;

(8) medical transportation;

(9) speech, hearing, and language;

(10) inpatient psychiatric services;

(11) home health care;

(12) children's services, including early periodic screening, diagnosis, and treatment (EPSDT), podiatry, nutrition services, private duty nursing, and hospice care;

(13) community mental health clinics;

(14) family planning;

(15) outpatient surgical clinics;

(16) rural health clinics;

(17) prosthetic devices;

(18) physical therapy;

(19) occupational therapy;

(20) prescribed drugs;

(21) physician clinics;

(22) adult dental care;

(23) personal care attendant services;

(24) chiropractic;

(25) repealed 11/1/2000;

(26) repealed 11/1/2000;

(27) repealed 11/1/2000;

(28) repealed 11/1/2000;

(29) repealed 11/1/2000;

(30) repealed 11/1/2000;

(31) advanced nurse practitioner services;

(32) nutrition services for pregnant women;

(33) durable medical equipment and supplies and respiratory therapy services;

(34) mental health physician clinics;

(35) home and community-based waiver services;

(36) substance abuse rehabilitative services;

(37) direct-entry midwife services;

(38) mental health rehabilitation services.

(39) targeted case management for children eligible under 7 AAC 23.080.
