Section 50. Physical examinations of school employees

4 AAC 06.050. Physical examinations of school employees

(a) Physical examinations shall be required for all regularly employed teachers, other employees, custodians, and clerical personnel, except those whose work does not bring them into close contact with pupils, upon initial employment by a district. A reexamination shall be required every three years for all employees. A district may require a physical or other examination at any time or at more frequent intervals at its expense.

(b) District boards shall determine which employees, if any, are exempt from the physical examination requirements.

(c) These regulations shall not be construed as exempting employees from taking physical examinations required by other regulations or law - i.e., food handlers, bus drivers, etc.

(d) Repealed 6/10/83.

(e) Each employee of a school district or private elementary or secondary school shall obtain a tuberculin skin test annually in the manner required by AS 18. 15. 145.
