3 AAC 160.072. Application and award processes

(a) An application for a rural development assistance program grant under AS 44.33.740 - AS 44.33.745 must be made on forms prescribed by the department.

(b) At least once each fiscal year, the department will send application forms to each known eligible community and provide applications to other interested communities.

(c) Rural development assistance grant applications will be evaluated and awarded according to a point system established by the department.

(d) If the commissioner sets aside a percentage of the money appropriated for the rural development assistance program under 3 AAC 160.062(b) , the department will publicize the availability of this money for grants to communities that are eligible under 3 AAC 160.042.

(e) Application for money set aside under 3 AAC 160.062(b) must be made on forms prescribed by the department.

(f) Applications received by the department for money set aside under 3 AAC 160.062(b) will be evaluated and will be awarded by the department in accordance with 3 AAC 160.062(c) .
