Ernest Gruening Day is established on February 6 of each year to honor Ernest Gruening, doctor, editor, and statesman,
for a lifetime of service to the territory and state of Alaska and the nation. Ernest Gruening Day may be observed by
suitable observances and exercises by civic groups and the public.
