AS 41.17.083. Clearing of Forest Land For Non-Timber Purposes.
A state agency, municipality, or public utility shall determine whether the timber to be removed has significant
salvage value before approving or conducting clearing of forest land for purposes other than timber harvest. If the
timber has significant salvage value, the agency or utility shall salvage the timber as part of the clearing process.
