The board may by regulation provide for the certification without examination of a person who meets the requirements of AS 08.65.050 (1) - (4), who is currently licensed in another state with licensing requirements at least equivalent in scope, quality, and difficulty to those of this state, and who has passed the national examination required of certified direct-entry midwives in this state.
