22 AAC 05.070. Contraband

(a) A prisoner or an unauthorized person may not introduce, make, use, or possess or attempt to introduce, make, use, or possess, in a facility, any contraband. Facility staff members shall prevent the introduction, manufacture, use, or possession of contraband.

(b) Contraband found in the possession of a prisoner or found in a facility will be confiscated, and is subject to disposition in accordance with procedures established by the commissioner.

(c) Contraband seizure or disposition complaints, except those handled as disciplinary appeals under 22 AAC 05.480, will be handled as a grievance in accordance with 22 AAC 05.185.
