Section 40. Declining a complaint

21 AAC 20.040. Declining a complaint

When the ombudsman declines investigation of a complaint under AS 24.55.130 (a) or under 21 AAC 20.010, the ombudsman will inform the complainant of that decision within 15 days of receipt of the complaint. If requested by the complainant, the ombudsman will confirm in writing that investigation of the complaint has been declined and the reason for declining to investigate.
