This chapter does not limit or restrict the authority of the commission to require the furnishing of those additional reports, data, or other information relative to drilling, production, transportation, storage, or handling of oil or gas and relative to injection operations on oil and gas properties and units in the state, as the commission considers to be necessary or desirable, either generally or specifically, for the prevention of waste, the protection of correlative rights, the prevention of fluid movement into freshwater sources, and the conservation of natural resources.
