Section 20. Eligible projects

18 AAC 71.020. Eligible projects

(a) Grant money may be used to purchase, construct, operate, study, and test new placer mining equipment and methods of management and use of water in placer mining.

(b) Grant money may be used to modify, operate, study, and test innovative methods using equipment already ordered, purchased, or owned by the applicant.

(c) Water use reduction, mineral recovery, waste disposal, or pollution control methods already proved in other types of mining or any other fields may be eligible for funding if proposed for use in an innovative or more effective way.

(d) If equipment or labor is used for operations not directly associated with demonstrating innovate technology, money may be used for only that fraction involving the innovative technology.
