Section 100. Claim for loss, damage, injury, or death

17 AAC 70.100. Claim for loss, damage, injury, or death

Passengers who sustain any loss, damage, or injury during the course of transportation by the ferry system shall report the loss, damage, or injury before leaving the ferry system premises to a ship's officer or ferry system official who will acknowledge in writing receipt of the report. This report shall constitute notice only to the ferry system of loss, damage or injury. Written proof of claim, under oath if further requested, should be forwarded to the ferry system as soon as possible after the report has been made. Failure to comply with this section will foreclose any claim against the ferry system.
