Section 440. Eligible expenditures

15 AAC 154.440. Eligible expenditures

(a) A grantee may expend funds granted under a capital grant only for the purchase, construction or rehabilitation of emergency shelter or transitional housing facilities or for the purchase of furnishings or appliances for such facilities.

(b) A grantee may expend funds under an operating grant for non-capital expenses reasonably necessary to operate an emergency shelter, a transitional housing facility, or a program that includes case management and social services related to homeless prevention and/or housing referral.

(c) A grantee may not spend more than five percent of the amount of the grant for administrative costs.
