Section 640. Notice of disposal

15 AAC 150.640. Notice of disposal

(a) In addition to the provisions required by the HUD Urban Renewal Handbook, the Corporation will give notice of an intended disposal of real property described in 15 AAC 150.600 as provided in this section. The Corporation will publish notice of the intended disposal at least once a week for two consecutive weeks prior to the date established for the close of accepting offers in a newspaper of general circulation within the municipality where the property is situated. The Corporation will also give notice of the intended disposal of each parcel of real property by posting, at least 30 days prior to the date established for the close of accepting offers, a notice in two public places in the municipality.

(b) The Corporation will maintain a list of all persons and businesses that have shown a bona fide interest in purchasing real property that is offered for disposal and sale by the Corporation. The Corporation will give notice of the intended disposal of each parcel of real property described in 15 AAC 150.600 at least 30 days prior to the date established for the close of accepting offers by mailing notices to all persons and included on the list described in the preceding sentence.

(c) The Corporation will erect a "For Sale" sign on the parcel of real property at least 30 days before the date established for the close of accepting offers so that the sign is clearly readable from the nearest roadway.
