Section 310. Dealer temporary permits

13 AAC 70.310. Dealer temporary permits

(a) In addition to the other requirements of AS 28.10.031 (b), a vehicle dealer shall affirm in writing that the dealer agrees to issue temporary permits only in accordance with state law.

(b) A vehicle dealer shall keep a record of every temporary permit issued by the dealer. The dealer shall indicate on record the make, model, year, vehicle identification number, and the name of the person to whom the vehicle was sold. Upon request, the dealer shall make the record available and shall deliver a copy of the record to the department. A vehicle dealer shall keep the record for a period of two years.

(c) If the department determines that a dealer has violated applicable state law related to dealer permits, the department will, in its discretion,

(1) refuse to issue additional temporary permits to the dealer until the department determines that the dealer will comply with requirements in state law and the issuance is in the best interests of the state and

(2) require the dealer to immediately return all unissued temporary permits to the department.
