Section 230. Satisfaction and release of liens: procedures

13 AAC 70.230. Satisfaction and release of liens: procedures

(a) A lien recorded upon the title shall immediately be released by the lienholder upon satisfaction of the lien. Upon satisfaction, the lienholder shall release or assign his interest in the vehicle to the owner.

(b) An owner of a registered vehicle upon which a lien has been satisfied and released shall, within 10 days, apply for a new title, unless title to the vehicle will be transferred or assigned within 30 days of the release of the lien.
