Section 405. Temporary license

12 AAC 40.405. Temporary license

(a) A member or designee of the board may approve a temporary physician assistant license of an applicant who meets the requirements of 12 AAC 40.400 and 12 AAC 40.408 and pays the fee set out in 12 AAC 02.250.

(b) Temporary license is valid for eight months or until the board meets and considers the application for permanent renewable license, whichever occurs first.

(c) The board will, in its discretion, renew a temporary license once only, based on good cause.

(d) An applicant who has been denied authorization to practice by the board under 12 AAC 40.408 is not entitled to temporary license or to renew a temporary license.
