12 AAC 28.105. Examinations

(a) An applicant for a license to practice dentistry in Alaska must hold a certificate from the American Dental Association Joint Commission on National Dental Examinations verifying that the applicant has passed both Parts I and II of the written examination given by the commission, before the applicant may take the clinical examination.

(b) In addition to the written examination specified in (a) of this section, the written and clinical examination will be

(1) a dental examination conducted by the Western Regional Examining Board (WREB), or conducted by the Central Regional Dental Testing Service, Inc. (CRDTS) after January 1, 2001, unless the board decides to conduct its own examination; and

(2) the written Alaska jurisprudence examination conducted by the board or the board's agent.

(c) The minimum passing score for the

(1) clinical examination specified in (b)(1) of this section is 70 percent or "pass" if a pass/fail grading system is used;

(2) written Alaska jurisprudence examination specified in (b)(2) of this section is 70 percent.
