Section 85. Award of permit

11 AAC 67.085. Award of permit

(a) After the close of the simultaneous filing period, homesite parcels will be ranked according to the number of applications received. The parcel with the most applications will be awarded first.

(b) Repealed 8/23/87.

(c) A successful applicant shall submit a birth certificate or other suitable proof that he is at least 18 years old, as well as proof of residency in accordance with 11 AAC 67.010. Satisfactory proof must be presented before noon of the 30th day following the postmark date of the letter notifying the applicant that he has been awarded an entry permit for a parcel. However, the director may grant an extension of time for good cause.

(d) If a successful applicant fails to present satisfactory proof of age and residency, if he decides not to accept the award, or if for any other reason a parcel remains available at the end of the adjudication process, the parcel will be made available over the counter to the first applicant who is qualified for a homesite.
