Section 50. Abandoned apiaries

11 AAC 35.050. Abandoned apiaries

When the director determines an apiary is abandoned, the director will

(1) use every reasonable method to contact the owner or land owner;

(2) place a notice of impending action in a readily visible manner and location at the apiary; and

(3) take whatever action is determined necessary to protect the welfare of neighboring apiaries if, within 60 days after the date of notice of impending action, no response is received from the owner or keeper of the apiary.
