Section 985. Use of motorized boats

11 AAC 20.985. Use of motorized boats

(a) The use of motorized boats is allowed in the following state recreation sites, recreation areas, and historic sites:

(1) Blair Lake State Recreation Area;

(2) Nancy Lake State Recreation Site;

(3) Big Lake North State Recreation Site;

(4) Big Lake South State Recreation Site;

(5) Lake Aleknagik State Recreation Site;

(6) Birch Lake State Recreation Site;

(7) Fielding Lake State Recreation Area;

(8) Eagle Beach State Recreation Area;

(9) Lake Louise State Recreation Area;

(10) Harding Lake State Recreation Area;

(11) Wrangell Petroglyph Beach State Historic Site;

(12) Tokositna State Recreation Area, except the Tokositna River is closed to the use of airboats between April 20 and July 10 annually, unless authorized by the director under 11 AAC 18.010.

(b) A person may not operate a motorized boat in excess of "Slow No-wake" speed, five miles per hour maximum, within two hundred feet of a state managed dock, swimming beach, or boat launch, or within an area designated and marked as a "Slow No-wake zone".
