Section 900. Definitions

11 AAC 17.900. Definitions

In this chapter

(1) "director" means the director of the division of parks;

(2) "eligible costs" means those costs of projects which are reimbursible under laws pertaining to and regulations of the agency providing the federal share of project costs;

(3) "local money" means nonfederal and nonstate funds expended by municipalities;

(4) "municipality" means

(a) a city or organized borough of any class exercising powers to initiate projects described in 11 AAC 17.020 of this chapter, as otherwise authorized by law; or

(b) a unified municipality organized under AS 29.68.240 - 29.68.440; or

(c) a village council of a village which is not within the boundaries of any incorporated city, organized borough or unified municipality, if the village council was organized to govern the village and performs the functions of municipal government and is eligible for federal funds for a project described in 11 AAC 17.020.

(5) "outdoor recreation, open space, and historic properties development fund" means the fund created by AS 41.22;

(6) "outdoor recreation, open space, and historic properties development fund money" means appropriations to the fund.
