Section 70. Return of original recorded documents

11 AAC 06.070. Return of original recorded documents

(a) After a document is recorded, the original of the document must be returned to the person identified on the document under AS 40.17.030 .

(b) If a document is filed and recorded, it shall be processed as a recorded document. However, the original becomes the property of the state. The state will permanently retain recorded plats of survey, subdivision plats, and records of survey.
