Section 80. Collective negotiations to modify an approved contract

9 AAC 23.080. Collective negotiations to modify an approved contract

During the original term of a contract approved under AS 23.50.020 and 9 AAC 23.050, an authorized third party may engage in collective negotiations or communications with a health benefit plan for the purpose of modifying the contract terms. No later than 14 days before starting those collective negotiations, the authorized third party shall provide the attorney general written notice of its intention to negotiate. The notice must be accompanied by a report explaining the purpose of the negotiations and the terms to be modified. The negotiations must not deviate from the original request for negotiation made by the authorized third party.
