Section 900. Definitions

7 AAC 79.900. Definitions

In this chapter

(1) "applicant" means a municipality, a nonprofit corporation, or an agency of the state or federal government which applies for a grant under this chapter;

(2) "commissioner" means the commissioner of health and social services;

(3) "division" means the division of adult and aging services;

(4) "grantee" means a municipality, a nonprofit corporation, or an agency of the state or federal government which is awarded a grant under this chapter;

(5) "municipality" means a first or second class borough or city, or a third class borough, incorporated under the laws of the state;

(6) "nonprofit corporation" means a corporation for which a certificate of incorporation has been issued under AS 10.20.161 ;

(7) "pilot project" means a project which

(A) is designed to test a concept in or method for delivering direct services to older Alaskans which has not been tested in the location in which the pilot project is to be implemented; and

(B) will not duplicate direct services otherwise provided to older Alaskans in the location in which pilot project is to be implemented;

(8) "program" means the program for awarding grants under this chapter.
