7 AAC 56.010. Applicability

(a) The provisions of this chapter apply to child placement agencies licensed or required to be licensed for arranging foster home, residential child care facility, adoptive home, or guardianship placements for a child under AS 47.10.310 ; AS 47.35.015 ; or AS 47.35.085 . To the extent practicable, the requirements set out in this chapter apply generally to all child placement agencies arranging for four types of child placement. However, when necessary or appropriate, various specific requirements set out in this chapter apply to child placement agencies arranging for less than all four types of child placement.

(b) The provisions of a section apply to all child placement types regulated under this chapter, unless the section or group of sections denotes applicability to a specific child placement type. When less than all child placement types are addressed in a section, the first subsection or paragraph of the section will include the full name of each specific type of placement regulated under the section.
