Section 340. Prevention of out-of-home placement and reuniting families

7 AAC 53.340. Prevention of out-of-home placement and reuniting families

(a) In order to maintain a child in the child's own home or to return a child to the child's own home, services or goods that may be authorized include

(1) homemaker services;

(2) child care services;

(3) counseling;

(4) parent training;

(5) community services; and

(6) the services or goods described in 7 AAC 53.310, 7 AAC 53.320, and 7 AAC 53.330.

(b) The services or goods will, in the division's discretion, be authorized, if

(1) funding is available;

(2) one or more of the services or goods is essential to prevent the out-of-home placement of the child, or to return the child to the child's own home;

(3) the provision of one or more of the services or goods removes a barrier for the safety of the child or might prevent the further delinquency of the child;

(4) the services or goods are consistent with the child's risk assessment and plan of services; and

(5) consideration has been given to the parent's ability to pay for the necessary services or goods.
