Section 830. Eligibility determination

7 AAC 47.830. Eligibility determination

(a) Within 30 days after the department receives an identifiable application for assistance under 7 AAC 47.825, the department will forward a written eligibility decision to the applicant. The department will extend the time period if the department determines that a decision cannot be rendered because of a factor that is beyond the control of the individual or the department.

(b) If an individual is determined eligible, the department will not make payments for any period before the month that the identifiable application was received by the department.

(c) If the department finds that additional information or documentation is necessary to make an eligibility determination, the department will request the individual to submit it before the eligibility determination is made.

(d) For purposes of (a) and (b) of this section, the department will only consider an application as an identifiable application if the application satisfies the same requirements as those in 7 AAC 45.150 for purposes of the Alaska Temporary Assistance Program.
