7 AAC 45.240. Child support assignment

(a) An applicant for ATAP benefits must assign to the state the right to receive and retain child support payments made by an absent parent, or any other individual, on behalf of all children for whom the applicant is seeking ATAP benefits.

(b) Under AS 47.27.040 , assignment is accomplished automatically by completing an application for ATAP benefits and becomes effective upon a determination that the applicant is eligible to receive ATAP payments.
