Section 120. Records retention

7 AAC 13.120. Records retention

(a) A facility shall retain administrative records in accordance with 7 AAC 78.250.

(b) Patient records of the facility must be retained for seven years following the discharge of the patient. However, the records of a patient under 19 years of age shall be kept until at least two years after the patient reaches age 19, or until seven years after the discharge of the patient, whichever is later.
