Section 95. Types of services and populations to be served

7 AAC 13.095. Types of services and populations to be served

(a) A facility shall serve the following populations, in the following area of priority, to the extent that primary care services are not available to those populations from other providers:

(1) acutely ill and injured persons;

(2) chronically ill and disabled persons;

(3) persons seeking health maintenance, health promotion or preventive services.

(b) A facility shall provide the following services to the above-listed populations in the following order of priority:

(1) diagnostic services within the limits imposed by the availability of diagnostic equipment and any plan of collaboration between the mid-level practitioner and the collaborating physician;

(2) treatment services within the practitioner's scope of practice;

(3) referral services; and

(4) preventive services.
