Section 610. Execution of certificate

7 AAC 05.610. Execution of certificate

All necessary steps preliminary to the issuance of a marriage license must be completed before such license is issued, in accordance with the instructions issued jointly by the bureau and the Alaska Court System. All forms used shall be those prescribed and furnished by the Bureau. All such necessary forms leading to the issuance of the license must be completed and filed in one office. The marriage license docket with its related forms is a public record, open for public inspection; provided that the affidavit and petition for waiver of physical examination and laboratory test, and any hearings thereon, shall not be open to the public and must be kept confidential. At the time of issuing the marriage license, the magistrate or marriage commissioner shall also complete the identifying part of the original certificate of marriage. This certificate and license shall be given to the parties to be presented to the person who is to perform the ceremony. All fees to be collected and their disposition are set by order of the supreme court. Monthly or other periodic reporting, reports of marriage licenses issued, transmittal forms, and any other reports required in connection with the issuance of licenses or performance of marriages shall be in accordance with the joint instructions of the bureau and Alaska Court System.
