Section 280. Local registrar fees

7 AAC 05.280. Local registrar fees

Each local registrar who is not a recording magistrate shall forward to the recording magistrate of the recording district within which he is located all original certificates of birth, fetal death, death, and marriage filed with him since his last transmittal. These shall include any certificates forwarded to him by any sub-registrars appointed for outlying villages. A transmittal form furnished by the bureau shall be completed covering all records submitted, and one copy included with the report. Another copy, along with any reports of marriage licenses issued, shall be sent to the bureau at the same time. Such local registrar shall report at least once each month, both to the recording magistrate and to the bureau; if there are no certificates or other reports to transmit, such monthly reports shall be made on the forms and in the manner specified by the State Registrar. Such local registrar who is not a magistrate or other state or local official receiving a salary for his duties, when he has completed his assigned duties in accordance with these regulations and the instructions of the State Registrar, shall be entitled to a fee of two dollars for each certificate of birth, fetal death, death, or marriage occurring in his registration district and transmitted by him; and to a fee of one dollar for each monthly report or transmittal form submitted to the bureau.
