7 AAC 05.130. Burial permits

The local registrar shall be responsible for seeing that each certificate presented for filing is complete in all possible details before he accepts it for filing, in accordance with instructions of the State Registrar. He is also responsible for seeing that a properly completed death certificate is filed and a burial-transit permit issued before a dead body may be finally disposed of, shipped by common carrier, or removed from the state, subject to provisions of secs. 530 - 570 of this chapter in cases of hardship.
