Beginning at the intersection of the Northwest Arctic Borough boundary and Makpik River; then southwesterly along the thread of Makpik River to its intersection with Noatak River; then southeasterly along the western shoreline of Noatak River to its intersection with Cutler River; then southeasterly along the thread of Cutler River to its intersection with the west fork of Cutler River; then southwesterly along the thread of the west fork of Cutler River to its headwaters; then southwesterly along a non-visible point-to-point line to the headwaters of Nekakte River; then southwesterly along the thread of Nekakte River to its intersection with Kobuk River; then southeasterly along the southern shoreline of Kobuk River to the mouth of Niaktuvik Creek; then southwesterly along the thread of Niaktuvik Creek to its headwaters; then southwesterly along a non-visible point-to-point line to the headwaters of Kuchuk Creek; then southerly along the thread of Kuchuk Creek to its intersection with Kugarek River; then easterly along the thread of Kugarek River to the mouth of Kerchurak Creek; then easterly along the thread Kerchurak Creek to its headwaters; then northeasterly along a non-visible point-to-point line to the headwaters of Little Black Creek; then northerly along the thread of Little Black Creek to its intersection with Kugachevik Creek; then northerly along the thread of Kugachevik Creek to its intersection with Kobuk River; then southeasterly along the southern shoreline of Kobuk River to its intersection with Shungnak River; then northeasterly along the thread of Shungnak River to its headwaters; then northwesterly along a non-visible point-to-point line to the intersection of Ulaneak Creek and Ambler River; then northerly along the thread of Ambler River to its intersection with the Gates of the Arctic National Park boundary; then northerly along the Gates of the Arctic National Park boundary to its intersection with an unnamed river north of the headwaters of Douglas Creek; then northerly along the thread of the unnamed river to its intersection with Rough Mountain Creek; then easterly along the thread of Rough Mountain Creek to its intersection with the Northwest Arctic Borough boundary; then northwesterly along the Northwest Arctic Borough boundary to the point of beginning, including all that area within the boundaries of the City of Ambler.
