Beginning at the intersection of the median of Icy Strait and the median of Chatham Strait on the southeast corner of the Haines Borough boundary; then southeasterly along the median of Chatham Strait to its intersection with a non-visible point-to-point line extending from the north shore of False Bay; then west along the non-visible point-to-point line to the shore of False Bay; then westerly along the north shoreline of False Bay to the mouth of Iyouktug Creek; then northwesterly along the thread of Iyouktug Creek to its intersection with National Forest Development Road 8530; then northwesterly along the centerline of National Forest Development Road 8530 to its intersection with Suntaheen Creek; then southerly along the thread of Suntaheen Creek to its headwaters; then southwesterly along a non-visible point-to-point line extending to a mountain peak due northwest of the headwaters of Seal Creek; then northwesterly along a non-visible point-to-point line extending to the headwaters of a creek that drains into the head of Freshwater Bay; then southeasterly along the thread of the creek to its mouth; then southerly along the western shoreline of Freshwater Bay to the mouth of Freshwater Creek; then westerly along the thread of Freshwater Creek to its headwaters; then southwesterly along a non-visible point-to-point line extending to its intersection with the City and Borough of Sitka boundary in Tenakee Inlet; then northwesterly along the City and Borough of Sitka boundary to its intersection with the head of Tenakee Inlet; then northwesterly along a non-visible point-to-point line extending to the headwaters of Trail River; then northwesterly along the thread of Trail River to the head of Idaho Inlet; then northerly along the western shoreline of Idaho Inlet to its northern tip; then northerly along a non-visible point-to-point line extending to the eastern shore of the Inian Islands; then northwesterly along the shoreline of the Inian Islands to their northwestern shore; then northwesterly along a non-visible point-to-point line extending to the median of North Inian Pass, excluding all of the Inian Islands; then easterly along the median of North Passage, including Lemesurier Island, to its intersection with the median of Icy Strait, excluding Pleasant Island; then southeasterly along the median of Icy Strait to the point of beginning, including all that area within the boundaries of the City of Hoonah.
