Section 50. Absentee voting

6 AAC 27.050. Absentee voting

(a) A voter may request an absentee ballot by mail from the director of elections. The absentee ballot application permits the person to register to vote under AS 15.07.070 and to request an absentee ballot for each election held within that calendar year for which the voter is eligible to vote. The absentee ballot application must include the name of the applicant, the address where the ballot is to be mailed, the applicant's Alaska residence address, one of the forms of identification prescribed in 6 AAC 25.510(b) , and the signature of the voter. The application must be received not later than 5:00 p.m. on the seventh day before the election.

(b) A voter may vote by absentee ballot at the office of an election supervisor or at a location designated by the election supervisor.
