Section 310. Personal use shrimp fishery

5 AAC 77.310. Personal use shrimp fishery

In the personal use taking of shrimp there is no closed season, and no daily bag and possession limits, except that the operator of a commercially licensed and registered shrimp fishing vessel used in the personal use taking of shrimp during a closed commercial shrimp fishing season or within a closed commercial shrimp district, section, or subsection

(1) may not possess more than 500 pounds onboard the vessel; and

(2) shall, before taking shrimp, obtain a personal use fishing permit from the department specifying

(A) the area the operator intends to fish; and

(B) the dates the operator intends to fish.
