5 AAC 31.230. Permits for shrimp trawling in Registration Area E

The owner or operator of a vessel to be used to take shrimp with a trawl shall obtain, before fishing each calendar year, a permit issued by the commissioner or the commissioner's designee. The permit may contain limitations or requirements determined by the commissioner to be necessary in order to conserve and manage shrimp resources, and to protect other fishery resources, in the location of the intended fishing activity, including the following:

(1) gear restrictions;

(2) requirements for observers, logbooks, or other reports.
