5 AAC 28.052. Logbooks

The operator of a vessel that is registered with the National Marine Fisheries Service to fish in a federal groundfish fishery, that is fishing in state waters of Alaska, and that is being used to take any groundfish species managed under a federal fisheries management plan that requires maintenance and submittal of logbooks, shall maintain, while fishing in state waters, the same logbook records as those required under 50 C.F.R. 679 (updated December 10, 1997), and shall submit the logbook records in the same manner as required for the federal logbooks.
