4 AAC 65.321. Payment of program benefits

(a) After calculating a family's contribution under 4 AAC 65.305, a grantee shall pay the remainder of the eligible cost of child care, not to exceed the program rate set by the department under 4 AAC 65.081, for care eligible for payment under this chapter and during the time frame that the family is eligible, to a participating provider on behalf of the participating family for child care provided.

(b) A grantee shall prorate a family's contribution required under 4 AAC 65.305 during the months when the family first receives and ends receiving child care based on the number of calendar days in the month in which child care is provided.

(c) In addition to the program benefits paid under (a) of this section, the grantee shall pay to a provider, authorized under 4 AAC 65.181 (a)(1) or (a)(2), on behalf of a child any registration fee charged by the provider and billed to the grantee. The amount paid under this subsection may not exceed $50. Only one registration fee per child may be paid under this subsection annually.
